California Polytechnic State University, or Cal Poly for short, has a bowling alley open to the community. The 10 lanes have optional bumpers for little kids.
For extra fun, the Cal Poly bowling alley has two tournament billiard tables and a new arcade which includes air hockey and basketball games. Hungry families can order food at the nearby Mustang Station restaurant.

Rancho Bowl in Santa Maria
If you live in south San Luis Obispo County or don’t mind driving a bit, Rancho Bowl is the biggest bowling alley in the area. Rancho Bowl features 32 newly remodeled lanes, an arcade, and a restaurant.
The restaurant has many options for hungry kids: mac and cheese, chicken tenders, pizza, burgers, tater tots, and more.
